Collection: YONEX RACKETS

Welcome to the 100%BAD Yonex racket selection. Here, every racket is strung in our workshop, at your tension, with your overgrip, and even your name on the shaft if you wish. To help you choose, here is how to find your way around.

The 4 major Yonex families

  • Astrox: the weight is in the head. These are power and attack rackets, generally quite stiff. For those who love to smash.
  • Nanoflare: the head is light. These are speed rackets: defense, counter-attack, flat game, and net play. Perfect for doubles.
  • Arcsaber: a neutral or slightly head-heavy balance. These are control and precision rackets, very versatile for both singles and doubles.
  • Duora: a dual-sided racket, one for the forehand, one for the backhand. A cult model for expert players.

Stiff or flexible?

The stiffer a racket is, the more precise it is, but the harder it is to play: it requires good technique and a fast arm. The more flexible it is, the more forgiving it is and the more easy power it provides: this is what you need to start out and progress.

3U or 4U?

A 3U (approx. 88g) is heavier: more power and stability, for an intense and offensive game, but it is more tiring. A 4U (approx. 83g) is more maneuverable and easier to play with over an entire match. If you are hesitating, go for a 4U.

Pro, Tour, Game, Play: what's the difference?

At Yonex, the same model often exists in several versions. They share the same frame and balance, but not the same materials:

  • Pro (approx. €180 to €250): the high-end. Better quality graphite, more precise and "lively" feel, better energy return. These are rackets for competitors, and they are more demanding to play with.
  • Tour (approx. €135 to €190): the same design as the Pro with materials a notch down. A bit more flexible and forgiving, for about 95% of the feel of the Pro. Often the best value for money for experienced club players.
  • Game (approx. €90 to €140): a more flexible shaft, easier to play with. Ideal for progressing with the look and spirit of the range.
  • Play (approx. €55 to €85): the entry-level. Flexible, forgiving, and comfortable: perfect for beginners or casual play.

My advice: don't choose a Pro just because it's "the best." Pick the one that suits your level. A racket that is too stiff for your swing will make you play worse, not better.

All our rackets are strung in the 100%BAD workshop with the string and tension of your choice. You can also choose your overgrip and have your name inscribed on the shaft. Have a doubt? Message me on Instagram or watch my YouTube videos: I answer everyone.
