Astrox 100 ZZ: Geoffrey's review
The Astrox 100 ZZ is a legendary racket for attackers. And in its Kurenai deep red version, it's even more beautiful. But I’ll be honest with you: it’s not a racket for everyone.
What you'll feel
It is very stiff and head-heavy, with an ultra-thin shaft that cuts through the air. When you take the shuttle high and place it well, your smashes fire off like bullets, with a very steep trajectory. However, it requires real technique and a strong arm: if your swing isn't clean yet, it won't help you.
Who is it for?
Expert players and competitors with an attacking profile, especially in doubles from the back of the court or in singles to finish points. If you are a beginner or have a more defensive game, look towards the Astrox 77 or the Nanoflare range instead.
My advice
It really comes into its own with high tension, from 11.5 kg, with a BG80 or an Exbolt 63 for speed.
You choose your string, your tension, the color of your overgrip, and even your name on the shaft directly above: I’ll prepare it in the workshop and it will be sent out ready to play.
