About me

I'm Geoffrey, the founder of 100%BAD

31 years old, 7 years of badminton, and a 100% Yonex shop I started with my dad in September 2024.

I'm 31, I've been playing badminton for 7 years and I started 100%BAD in September 2024 with my dad.

Between the workshop, the YouTube videos and the rackets I string all week long, here's who's behind the shop.

From the court to the shop

  1. As a kid

    My first shuttles

I hit my first shuttles when I was young, but it didn't last: back then I switched between other sports. Badminton came back later, and this time for good.

  2. 7 years ago

    Back on court

I took up badminton seriously again, got hooked on tournaments, especially men's doubles, and never put the racket down again.

  3. Before 100%BAD

    Coach and shop assistant

I became a youth badminton coach and, at the same time, worked in a badminton shop. That's where I learnt the trade: advising, stringing, understanding what each player is really looking for in a racket.

  4. September 2024

    Starting 100%BAD

A great opportunity came along, and I took the plunge with my dad. We started 100%BAD: a small 18 m² workshop designed from day one to display rackets on the wall, string them and customise them.

  5. Today

YouTube, the workshop and the team

Videos every week, rackets strung every day, and almost 50 ambassadors wearing the 100%BAD colours all over France.

18 m², but everything you need

The workshop is small, but every square metre has been thought through. It's where I prepare your orders, string your racket and film a good part of my videos.

The racket wall

All the rackets are displayed on the wall: you can see them, hold them and compare.

The neon logo

The 100%BAD logo in neon, surrounded by flowers on the wall. You've probably already seen it in the background of my videos.

The stringing machine

The heart of the workshop: this is where every racket is strung at your tension and customised.

Why 100% Yonex, and why YouTube?

From the start, I chose to run a 100% Yonex shop, starting with the rackets. Focusing on a single brand means knowing it inside out: every range, every version, every difference between a Pro and a Tour. And that's what lets me give you real advice.

YouTube is the heart of 100%BAD. I test rackets and gear, play matches, come up with new concepts and show the whole world of badminton. The goal: to help you choose your racket, grip, string and tension by seeing how they really perform on court.

All of that then ends up here, on the site, and in the workshop. You can email me or drop by: I restring rackets all week and take the time to help everyone with their purchase.

The player I am

"Even if I lose a match, as long as I had a laugh and played well, I'm happy."

I'm a player who loves to have fun and enjoy the game. I go to training to let off steam, give it everything and leave completely wiped out. Badminton is perfect for that.

I love matches and I'm almost never too serious. I've played quite a few tournaments, mostly men's doubles, where I reached R5 (French ranking). I've hardly ever played mixed. I play singles now and then for fun, even though it's physically very tough for me, and I've reached R5 in singles too.

To be fair, I don't train much: one evening a week, sometimes a lunchtime here and there, and lunchtimes often go on filming videos. With a 5-year-old and a second one on the way, I can't play tournaments every weekend like the 20-year-olds. I play at the Orvault club, near Nantes.

A day in the workshop

I love my job, and no two days are ever really the same. Here's what's waiting for me when I arrive in the morning.

  1. Orders

I prepare the orders placed on the site, with their options: string, overgrip, name on the shaft.

  2. Stringing

I string the rackets dropped off during the week. Every player has their own tension, string and colours, and I love adding colour.

  3. Videos

I plan and film the videos: YouTube, Instagram Reels and TikTok.

  4. Custom print

I print names on shirts, especially the team's.

  5. Ambassadors

I handle their orders and shirts, and collect their opinions and feedback.

  6. Advice

Lots of emails and messages, often from beginners who don't know which racket to get. I'm here to help them find the right one.

Almost 50 ambassadors all over France

I'm really lucky: nearly 50 players love the shop and represent it at their tournaments and training sessions, all over France. I look after their gear and their custom-printed shirts, and we chat a lot on social media.
