Astrox 100 ZZ AXELSEN: Geoffrey's review
The Astrox 100 ZZ Axelsen edition is the racket that pays tribute to Viktor Axelsen, one of the greatest players in badminton history. And it has the character to match.
What you'll feel
It is a very stiff, head-heavy racket: every well-struck smash leaves with tremendous weight and angle. Its slim shaft cuts through the air and allows you to chain attacking shots quickly. It rewards a clean and powerful stroke, and it offers no favors if you are late.
For whom?
Expert players, offensive competitors, and Axelsen fans who already have the level to handle a demanding racket. If you want the same power with more forgiveness, I suggest looking at the Astrox 100 Tour VA or the Astrox 77 Pro.
My advice
In general, I string it between 11.5 and 12.5 kg with BG80. For a signature racket like this one, your name on the shaft is the finishing touch.
You choose your string, your tension, the color of your overgrip, and even your name on the shaft directly above: I prepare it in the workshop and it ships ready to play.
